Bexhill-on-Sea lies to the west of Pevensey Bay about five miles from Hastings and between them both is St Leonard‘s. The area has long attracted visitors and the retired with holiday amenities and long stretches of parade walks and a crescent shaped bay. Bexhill was largely built as a seaside resort as was St Leonards, principally to cater for the demand for healthy lifestyles in the early nineteenth century.
