Hartford Court is ideally located within a quarter of a mile of local shops and amenities and is within walking distance of the seafront. Oliver's Mount on the southern outskirts gives splendid views across the bay.

Scarborough town centre is a mile away and is one of the largest resorts along the east coast of Britain. Princess Street in the old town has some fine well preserved Georgian houses. The old inner harbour is mostly used for unloading timber from commercial vessels, whilst pleasure craft use the outer harbour.
