Fayregreen comprises a number of purpose built bungalows, some with their own gardens and the remainder with access to the communal gardens. The town centre is approx 10 minutes walk offering a range of local shops and amenities.

Fakenham is full of pretty brick-and-flint faced buildings, narrow alleyways and sidestreets. The town centre has in recent years undergone a "face-lift", with new paving, street signs and a seating area in the market square. The popular Farmers' Market takes place on the fourth Saturday of every month.
