Poplar Court is situated within a few minutes walk of St Annes Square, the main shopping centre for St. Annes and also the South Promenade which features numerous leisure facilities.

Lytham St Annes has golden sands, beautiful gardens and four golf courses including Royal Lytham and St Annes where major tournaments are played. Close to the promenade is the famous Lytham Green and Windmill. Lytham has an excellent shopping centre, with many quaint shops as well as the larger high street stores.

There are facilities for tennis and bowls at Lowther Gardens and at Fairhaven Lake there are sailing dinghies, rowing boats, motor boats and water skiing.
