Blundellsands is a peaceful, well regarded area on the North West coast. The local shops, post office, library and railway station are all within a short, level walk from Homedove House. Homedove is also conveniently placed for many of the local churches and other amenities.

The West Lancashire golf course and foreshore are close to hand, the apartments being within half a mile of the seafront. Blundellsands lies north to the city of Liverpool with Crosby to the east and Waterloo to the south. The area is served by Blundellsands & Crosby and Hall Road railway stations. Its shoreline, the northern part of Crosby Beach, includes parts of the popular exhibit Another Place.

Blundellsands is well serviced by buses - it is only a short ride to Liverpool with its many theatres, shops and museums.
